Fishing for trout has been good on Powerbait, cheese, small jigs, spinners, and spoons. Prepared baits, shrimp, chicken liver, and shad will be your best options to try. 4 oz. Largemouth bass numbers have really improved and continues to produce great fishing. /MILFORD RESERVOIR -  This lake tends to be dominated by gizzard shad over 10 inches that compete with crappie for food and space. A Wyandotte County fishing permit is required to fish this property. Anglers typically catch them using a variety of crankbaits, soft plastics, and Ned Rigs. Be sure to inspect your boat, boat trailer, and bait buckets prior to launching at Bone Creek to prevent the spread. Drum are an abundant species at Rocky Ford and can be caught on worms, minnows, and jigs. "Clean, Drain and Dry" before  and after using any equipment on this lake. Zebra Mussels have recently been found in Hillsdale Lake, and Linn Valley, Linn County, (Private Lake Development), NEOSHO RIVER AT CHETOPA DAM -  Please discard of leftover bait in a trash can, even baitfish. try dropoffs, and the deep side of weed bed habitat. Fair. There is a lot of cover in this lake and electrofishing may not catch bigger fish. Anglers should try using shad sides, shad gizzards, shrimp, nightcrawlers, and chicken liver. The lake has a low level largemouth bass population dominated by fish 14" to 16" long. Use the good ol nightcrawler or mealworm under a bobber or small jigs around the water willow or timber. use dark jigs and crankbaits, along flats and drop-offs. Fish near structure and rocks with soft plastics, crank baits, spinner baits. Recently there were 1,000 channel catfish stocked to spice up the fishing. Bluegill and Redear Sunfish up to 9 inches are common on the strip pits on the Mined Land Wildlife Area. Make sure you drain all water from the boat before you leave the boat ramp area!!! Try fishing any areas of inflow from recent rains. Tube jig or minnow along shoreline and around the brush piles. So far the lake has received 1,700 rainbow trout this fall. Anglers should note that tagged blue catfish that are not legal for harvest must be returned to the water immediately after recording the tag information. Deeper water mid-day and shallow points and shorelines after dark. COUNCIL GROVE RESERVOIR -  Fish feeders are Off. jigs on windblown points and breaks with structure. There is an abundance of submerged trees in a range of depths that will also hold fish. Wind blown shorelines or along riprap banks are good places to start. Channel catfish creel at the lake is 5 per day. THEY ARE NO LONGER LEGAL AS LIVE BAIT FOR STRIPERS OR OTHER FISH!!!!! If you are a flyfishing angler, the seep stream provides a great opportunity for you, as well as for regular anglers using bait. Fish can be caught just about anywhere on the lake. 21 inch minimum length limit became effective on walleye January 1, 2020. Water release has stopped. But for now, do not expect to catch many. Channel cats can be taken now on a variety of live or prepared baits. Zebra mussel veligers are too small to be seen with the unaided eye and they can be found in boat livewells, minnow buckets, boat bilges, water toys and anything else that is capable of holding even a small amount of water. The best time to fish is anytime you can. The white bass population is usually a limited component to the fishery. ZEBRA MUSSELS have been confirmed in Coffey County Lake! Try a small piece of worm or a small jig around structure. Zebra mussel veligers (larval zebra mussels) are too small to be seen with the unaided eye and they can be found in boat livewells, minnow buckets, boat bilges, and anything else that is capable of holding even a small amount of water. Blue catfish were introduced into El Dorado Reservoir in 2004 to establish an additional predatory fish population and to provide anglers with a new sport fishing opportunity. Limited opportunities exist, due to not being stocked since 2016. Try finding some brush piles or georgia cubes in the  around the 10' range. The Kansas River, also known as the Kaw, is a river in northeastern Kansas in the United States.It is the southwesternmost part of the Missouri River drainage, which is in turn the northwesternmost portion of the extensive Mississippi River drainage. Crappie are being caught in water 10-20 feet deep around brush piles and standing timber vertically fishing jigs. 10-20ft deep suspended near points, flooded brush, and ledges on jigs and minnows. The fall sample indicated good numbers above the 18" minimum length limit and a quality population for anglers to utilize. Try areas towards the middle of the reservoir. Please leave all habitat at these locations. It is Illegal transport live fish, bait, and water from this lake. Some anglers are catching 7-9" fish under a slip bobber from the jetties.  Wiper numbers are often best off Walleye Point in 20-25 feet of water and off Cedar Point. 1/16-1/4 ounce jig heads with a twister tails is a good lure to try. Recent sampling indicates good numbers of  fish (17.5 to 22 inches) are available. Stripers were located throughout the upper end of the reservoir in Horseshoe Bend and the flats around Spring Creek in 4-6 feet of water.
